Nathalie MERCIER makes a point of applying a policy of transparency and predictability towards her clients.
The question of fees is discussed during the first meeting with each Client.
Except in special cases (in particular in the case of minor interventions), the drawing up of a fee agreement is proposed to the Client, before undertaking any action leading to invoicing.
In accordance with the practices of the legal profession, the fees are fixed according to the degree of difficulty of the case, the importance of the interests at stake, the experience and/or reputation of the firm, the diligence of the lawyer in charge of the case (research work in particular), the expenses incurred by the latter and the Client's financial situation.
In most cases, fees are calculated on the basis of time spent. When invoicing, the Client is provided with a detailed description of the time spent.
When the case lends itself to it, a flat fee may be agreed, as well as a fee for results.
Nathalie MERCIER also provides annual legal assistance through a subscription agreement, the rates of which are negotiated in advance, in agreement with the Client.
The Client may be asked to pay a deposit on costs and fees upfront.
Before any final payment, the Firm gives its Client a detailed account, showing separately the costs and disbursements, the costs and expenses, after deduction of any advance payment received.
Nathalie MERCIER is a member of an Association approved by the tax authorities. Payment is made by bank transfer or cheque made out to her.
